Tammy K. Stinnett
Tammy Stinnett joined HJM in January 2002. Her role at HJM includes over 14 years of administrative, legislative, and legal assistant responsibilities. Ms. Stinnett is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HJM offices and provides support to the partners of the firm.
As a legislative assistant, Ms. Stinnett plays a key role to ensuring the vital flow of information between HJM’s clients, state and local legislators, and agency heads. Ms. Stinnett tracks and monitors legislation, creates and maintains legislative files, and coordinates meetings with legislators. In addition, to make certain that HJM’s clients are on the front lines of political news across the state, she distributes daily e-mail blasts entitled “Headlines from HJM” to our clients. Headlines from HJM are newspaper articles concerning the most recent political news within the State of Maryland, as well as articles related to HJM’s clients’ respective industries.
In addition to serving as the communication hub for legislative and policy events impacting HJM clients, Ms. Stinnett also coordinates lobbyist registration forms and other ethics requirements, on behalf of clients, with the Maryland State Ethics Commission and corresponding agencies in local jurisdictions.
Over the past 14 years, Ms. Stinnett has volunteered for several local and state politicians to assist with campaign efforts that include door-to-door canvassing, making phone calls, and posting yard signs. Tammy Stinnett is committed to HJM’s pledge to provide excellence, efficiency and dedication to each of its clients.
